Anyone who has ever seen my personal web site knows that I’m a big music fan. I’m particularly into popular Thai music, which means that I know more Thai bands than most Thais do (Thai teens excepted).
Because I live in the capital of Thailand, it recently dawned upon me that I might actually be able to SEE my favorite Thai bands perform live. If they don’t play in the nation’s capital, where do they play?
So I recently began looking for Thai rock concerts, and in short order I attended my first concert a week later. I saw the Tilly Birds play, then Bowkylion before she got ruined by Covid.
How did I like it? Let’s just say I’m going to another concert this Thursday (the band Klear).
To share my experience, I made a video of my first time attending a Thai rock concert. (I also posted a few full songs from the concert on my YouTube channel, if you’re interested).
Enjoy.
