Here are the movies I’ve watched and loved lately.

Note that some of these films are not on Netflix. You’ll have to find them on Amazon Prime Video or one of the many free movie sites (reach out if you need some links).

Judas and the Black Messiah

Offered a plea deal by the FBI, William O’Neal infiltrates the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party to gather intelligence on Chairman Fred Hampton.

Khrong Kam (2019 Thai TV series)

Keen to maintain her family’s station in life, a wealthy matriarch seeks to rein in her sons’ marital affairs as love, lust and class collide.

These are some of the other movies I’ve seen recently that are worth a watch. While not quite as good as the films above, they still are well worth your viewing time. Consider these honorable mentions.

Trial of the Chicago 7

The story of 7 people on trial stemming from various charges surrounding the uprising at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois.

The Father (2020)

A man refuses all assistance from his daughter as he ages. As he tries to make sense of his changing circumstances, he begins to doubt his loved ones, his own mind and even the fabric of his reality.

Heartbeats (2019)

A downhearted 40-year-old man needs to step outside his safe zone to unlock the mystery which his late girlfriend left to him. While travelling, he meets a lively 20-year-old guesthouse attendant, there she helps him find more clues to the mystery and also to his lonely life.
