US Tour 2018

By on May 6, 2018

I just finalized my U.S. travel plans for 2018, and they might surprise you. They definitely would have surprised me at this time last year.

That’s because I’m not spending the majority of my year in San Francisco like I thought. I’m only spending a combined total of two months in the U.S.!

My 2018 U.S. Travel Schedule

  • San Francisco, Calif. (May 29-June 5, 2018)
  • Seattle, Wash. (June 5-10, 2018)
  • Cleveland, Ohio (June 11-July 28, 2018)
  • New York City, N.Y. (July 28-Aug 1, 2018)
  • U.S. return (tentative): San Francisco, Calif. (April 1, 2019)

Why So Short This Year?

The reason for the change are some big projects in the works at my business, Kowalke Relationship Coaching.

Earlier this year my coaching business launched the Joy Love Club, a series of relationship talks for singles looking for a lasting relationship. We’re now expanding the series into an ongoing membership program for both singles and married couples who are looking for greater love and happiness in their life. We also have an online course, some new products, and a web site redesign in the works.

With all this project work, and a thriving editorial business over at EdChief, I took a hard look earlier this year and decided I was one activity away from some serious work-life balance issues. While work is a spiritual discipline for me, right now I wouldn’t have time for the socializing and new client onboarding that is my primary reason for being in San Francisco.

So I shifted more time to my home in Bangkok, which is well suited for the large project work on tap this year.

Bangkok also currently is my home of homes, with the most stability and strongest daily routines. So it is the best place for keeping sanity while I manage two businesses and oversee all those projects. If I had an apartment already set up in San Francisco like I planned last year, the calculus might be different. But with uncertainty around the living situation in San Francisco and effectively no time to deal with it, I’m putting off the Bay a year and favoring my most stable living environment right now.

The outcome of this significant location shift is…only two months in the U.S this year, 10 months in Asia Pacific!

So if you’re in the U.S., hop on those dates and contact me! I’ll be spending much of my time meeting with friends and clients during the trip. So reach out soon, because I’m actively schedule lunches and activities with friends and clients in the above cities right now. Hopefully one of those appointments will be with you.

Hope to see you soon!
